Objectives


W.6.2 a-f Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and
convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection,
the organization, and analysis of relevant content.

W.6.9.a Apply grade 6 Reading standards to literature (e.g.,
"Compare and contrast texts in different forms or genres [e.g.,
stories and poems; historical novels and fantasy stories] in terms
of their approaches to similar themes and topics").




Activities
April 9, 2018
  • Bellwork: Students will copy and paste their literary analysis Body Paragraphs into the Body Paragraph check-in document on google classroom, then Read the pronoun reference article and answer the questions.
  • Mini-Lesson: Rehash body paragraphs then go over the compare paragraph.
  • Work time: If not done, finish their body paragraphs 1 and 2. Write their compare paragraph.
  • Active engagement: Peer editing and feedback.
  • Exit ticket: Self-evaluation
Self-evaluation on their use of time while writing. What clarifications they would like me to go over tomorrow.
