technique, relevant descriptive details, and
well-structured event sequences.

Periods 1,2,5
  • Transpose Hook/Intro and Setting into narrative document on google classroom.
  • Rising Action scenes: Write rising action scenes that build to the climax of their story
  • Students write their two rising action scenes.
  • Exit ticket: Self-Evaluation:
On a scale of 1-5, 1 being I did not use my time to write to 5 being I used the whole time write, How would you rate your use of the time given to you for writing? Explain your score.

Period 4:
  • Finish working on their Hook/Introductions
  • Model Scenes: inventory and shelter scene from Hatchet
  • Students will write their inventory/ shelter scene
    • Exit ticket:
      The first problem that my character
faces is ______ and they experience______, which
teaches them_______.
Homework
Periods 1,2,5:
Finish any part of their narrative that we have worked on so far that is not complete: Hook/intro, Setting, and Inventory scene. 
Due by class time Monday 2/26.

Period 4:
Finish any part of their narrative that we have worked on so far that is not complete: Hook/intro, Setting, and Inventory scene. 
Due by class time Monday 2/26.

The end of unit four is Friday 3/2: The students' survival narrative writing assessment for unit 4 is due by 3/2.

Remember period 1 to sign and turn in the Home Energy Action
form if you want to support Rocky Top
and save energy in your home.

Do not forget to purchase a copy of Hatchet so your student can have a copy at home since the classroom copies stay in the classroom.
