Objectives	RI.6.6 - Determine an author’s point of view or purpose in a text and explain how it is conveyed in the text. RI.6.8 - Trace and evaluated the argument and specific claims in a text. W.6.1 - Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence. W.6.9 - Draw evidence from informational text to support analysis, reflection, and research.
Activities	December 1, 2017 Continue pre-writing for Argumentative Essay: Finish transposing introduction, start body paragraph: numbering strongest to weakest reasons, transitions.
Homework	No homework. Have a great weekend!
Reminders	Periods 2,4,5 had a Socratic Seminar assessment on Monday, and Period 1 had theirs on Tuesday. If your student was absent on the day their class had the Socratic seminar, make sure that they schedule a make-up day with me.
