Objectives	RI.6.6 - Determine an author’s point of view or purpose in a text and explain how it is conveyed in the text. RI.6.8 - Trace and evaluated the argument and specific claims in a text. W.6.1 - Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence. W.6.9 - Draw evidence from informational text to support analysis, reflection, and research.
Activities	November 28, 2017 Pre-writing for Argumentative Essay: Compiling the claim, reasons, and evidence students gathered for the Socratic seminar into the "Writing an Argumentative Essay" organizer.
Homework	Students from Periods 2,4,5 are reading 30 minutes and logging their reading on google classroom under “11/7 Online Reading Logs” Period 1: Sentence Fragment and Run-on Worksheet (handout, not on google classroom). Due by class time tomorrow, 11/30.
Reminders	Periods 2,4,5 had a Socratic Seminar assessment on Monday, and Period 1 had theirs on Tuesday. If your student was absent on the day their class had the Socratic seminar, make sure that they schedule a make-up day with me.
