  • Bellwork: Continue working with their partners on answering the close reading worksheet for "Bearing Up"
Why did Mark dream about the bear in "Bearing Up?
  • Mini-Lesson: Filling out the reading comprehension worksheet and
Filling out the compare and contrast t-chart for Hatchet/"Bearing Up"
  • Students will fill out the compare and contrast t-chart
looking at how each text presents the theme.
  • Exit ticket: Answer the Prompt:
  • Although the topic/theme of these passages is similar, how does the presentation differ?
    Homework
    Periods 1,2,5: No Homework 

    Period 4:
    No Homework

    Since half of the classes were unable to go to the Library, the makeup day is tentative. I will keep you informed.

    Remember period 1 to sign and turn in the Home Energy Action
    form if you want to support Rocky Top
    and save energy in your home.

    Do not forget to purchase a copy of Hatchet so your student can have a copy at home since the classroom copies stay in the classroom.
