Objectives	RI.6.6 - Determine an author’s point of view or purpose in a text and explain how it is conveyed in the text. RI.6.8 - Trace and evaluated the argument and specific claims in a text. W.6.1 - Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence. W.6.9 - Draw evidence from informational text to support analysis, reflection, and research.
Activities	December 12, 2017 Bell work: Capitalization worksheet.  Read and Annotate "Your Favorite Drinks Can Wreck Your Health" for text structures.
Homework	No homework unless you are behind in your argument essays.  The students who are behind have a packet that tells them what they need to do for each section and gives them an example.
Reminders	Friday is the final day for the students to hand-in their argument essays. Students who are behind and/or were absent and need to catch up must do so by this Friday, 12/15.  Two more weeks until Christmas Vacation!! Hygiene Drive for the Homeless!! Aspen House is being asked to donate toothpaste, tooth brushes and men’s deoderant.
