Bellwork: Students will answer the compare and contrast prompt in google classroom.

Mini-lesson: Model for students C.R.A.P. article credibility assessment.

Active Engagement: With their partners, students will read four articles and decide if they are credible or not using the C.R.A.P. worksheet.

Work time: Students will independently research their own article for their essay/presentation topic and fill out the C.R.A.P. worksheet for it.

      Mini-lesson: Model for students what to annotate for while we read the Thayer Memoir, as well as review filling out the compare and contrast chart.

      Read Thayer Memoir. Students will take notes while reading.

      Work time: Students will independently fill out their compare and contrast charts on google classroom.

      Exit Ticket: Explain why the events depicted in Into the Dark Water and  Thayer Memoir are alike and different. Use examples from the texts in your comparison.
