- Bellwork: Turn in Compare and Contrast Charts for "The Flaming Sky". Read the article on Memoir and answer the questions.
- Mini-lesson: Review with students how to fill out the compare and contrast chart. Watch introduction video "Titanic: the ship of dreams"
- Work time: Students read the article "Into the Dark Water" taking notes on how the article is presenting the event. When done, they will share what they found with their partners.
- Exit TIcket: How does "into the Dark Water" present the sinking of the Titanic?
