Objectives	RL.6.7 Compare and contrast the experience of reading a story, drama, or poem to listening to or viewing an audio, video, or live version of the text, including contrasting what they "see" and "hear" when reading the text to what they perceive when they listen or watch.
Activities	March 9, 2018 Bellwork: Independent Reading Finish Compare and Contrast response for Hatchet and "A Cry in the WIld" on the 3/8 compare and contrast document in google classroom. Read "Bearing Up" annotating in journals for how the the short story presents the theme of "the courage to persevere".
Homework	Periods 1,2,5: No Homework  Period 4: No Homework
	Since half of the classes were unable to go to the Library, the makeup day is tentative. I will keep you informed. Remember period 1 to sign and turn in the Home Energy Action form if you want to support Rocky Top and save energy in your home. Do not forget to purchase a copy of Hatchet so your student can have a copy at home since the classroom copies stay in the classroom.
