Reminders	Wednesday, Nov. 15th is national recycle day Canned Food Drive!!! Bring those canned or dry food items to your 1st hour teacher or to the office!!   Socratic Seminar Assessment for Unit 3 is on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Library Checkout  Day  is not until after Thanksgiving Break

W.6.1 Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence.
Activities	Monday, November 13, 2017 Pick out evidence in "Are Athletes Overpaid?" and Socratic seminar worksheet to support their argument.  Group debate on "Are Athletes Overpaid?" Class debate: students choose which side they are on: Athletes are paid too much/Athletes are paid the right amount, and discuss using their Seminar Worksheet.
Homework	Read for 30 minutes

What does “helping” mean? ~”Should Libby’s Dad Do Her School Project” Read article together in class, analyze the argument, then respond. ~ Both the article and response need to be turned in by the end of class.
